Meet The Captain
Ricky English
Captain Rick has spent a lifetime on the water, from boating with his family to passing that love along to the next generation. After 32 successful years as a shop owner, Rick founded Carefree Cruises LLC to share his passion for boating with others.
He is a graduate of RCM Maritime in Charleston, South Carolina, where he completed U.S. Coast Guard certified training. Captain Rick holds a Merchant Mariner Credential as an Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels for Near Coastal, Great Lakes, and Inland Waters, and is certified by the American Red Cross in Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Booking & Financials
I. Payment Requirements
Due at booking confirmation via Square (3.5% fee).
II. Holiday Pricing
No extra holiday charges; prices remain the same year-round.
III. Refund Policy
No refunds unless extreme weather occurs; rescheduling is preferred.
IV. Cancellations & Changes
Guests must provide 72 hours (3 days) notice before departure.

V. Group Size Minimums
Fewer than 6 people allowed; specify ages if under 12.
VI. Group Size Maximums
Strictly capped at 6 guests maximum until inspection certification updates.
VII. ADA Accessibility
Not accessible due to fixed dock heights and varying tides.
VIII. Pet Policy
No pets allowed for safety; service animals must be disclosed before booking.

IX. Parking Details
Park on the grass or pavement near the land-stored boats; avoid the gravel area.

Safety, Rules & Activities
XIX. Captain's Authority
The captain may terminate the charter for disorderly or intoxicated passengers.
XX. Swimming Rules
Insurance prohibits swimming. There is zero tolerance for jumping overboard or sitting on the railings.
XXI. Fishing Rules
There is no fishing.
XXII. Provided Life Jackets
Commercial, comfortable adult life jackets are provided. Please specify children’s ages if child life jackets are needed.
XXIII. Personal Life Jackets
Guests are welcome to bring their own life jackets.
XXIV. Weather Rules
Rain does not cancel trips. Lightning or heavy swells will require the charter to be rescheduled.
XXV. Safety Equipment
The vessel meets all USCG requirements and is stocked with motion sickness medication and Benadryl.
XXVI. Smoking & Code of Conduct
Vaping is permitted only on the aft deck. No drugs or weapons are allowed onboard.
